Preserve, develop, and magnify what is most valuable to better transmit it. These words take on their full meaning when they become a collective effort.

 

Microland was born thanks to the precious support of our many friends and partners allowing our association to carry out our actions, and to think bigger. Since then, we have been working concretely for the conservation of biodiversity by promoting on a very small scale the natural heritage of the archipelago of São Tomé and Príncipe.

 

Our ambition is strong and your donations are of great help. Here's how you can help!

 

• Become a patron partner: contact us at assomicroland@gmail.com to receive our partnership brochure.

• Support our first partnership project with BirdLife International: " Sponsor a tree ", by donating a minimum of 50 euros and receive our catalogue at the Bom Sucesso Botanical Garden.

• Make a spontaneous donation and support “Archipelago's Biodiversity, the São Tomé and Príncipe Project”. Your donations will be used to:

  • Form a working group with state services and local naturalists and biologists

  • Deploy with local actors micro-projects to enhance biodiversity (sponsor a tree, naturalist expeditions and circuits, butterfly greenhouse, etc.)

  • Organise the stewardship necessary for biodiversity inventories in Obô national park

  • Remuneration of guides during field inventories (assistance in training guides, sharing of technical knowledge, research and identification of sectors to be inventoried, strategic placement of camps, etc.)

  • Improve naturalistic knowledge of unknown taxonomic groups in São Tomé and Príncipe (insects, lichens) and emblematic (birds, flora, etc.)

  • Build a biological reference collection which will be kept locally (herbarium vascular flora, herbarium lichens, insect collection, etc.)

  • Expand and transfer the knowledge and nature database of São Tomé and Príncipe

  • Prepare future partnerships with scientific institutions and the administration of São Tomé and Príncipe.
